In the August 2007 IEEE "Spectrum" magazine is an
article titled "The Trap Technique" that tells how
qubits (quantum bits) are likely to replace
conventional computer functions such as memories.
They have a half-page graphic on quantum
entanglement on page 39 that suggests it may be
possible in the future to use the phenomenon for
transferring bits of information instantaneously.
