Hi, I'm going to make a 2 meter ground plane like the one described in
the 21st edition of the ARRL Antenna book, page 18-24. My thoughts were to put this up on about 20 feet of PVC pipes against the side of the house. I was wondering how would I attach the SO-239 to the PVC after I have soldered the radials to the holes of the SO-239. I'm sure I can come up with something but I wanted to hear how other people have done this before. Also, maybe PVC pipe isn't best choice for this type of antenna. I just want to get it up high enough to make the repeaters in my area. maybe I can just hang it from a tree like a bird feeder? ;-) Thanks, Jim |
