It seems that about 2 years ago, Romney made a statement concerning Amateur Radio, and something to the effect he does not support it as a means of communication during emergencies. As I said, this was made 2 years ago, and is now a BIG topic for some reason. While I am not planning to vote for him, I guess someone felt the need to bring this up, to stir up the Ham community. Looks like it did a good job from what I've seen all over the place now. If that's the only negative thing anyone can find, he may well may be the top choice, but then again, that does not seem to be the reason a person is elected to most offices... 73 |
