Sample point for scope
Being from a broadcast background and new to ham radio, I'm trying to
find sample ports to connect scopes and spectrum analyzers to radios and dummy loads. I'm not finding any and have been simply using UHF Ts and small loops of wire near finals and radio outputs as sample ports. Am I missing something or is this normal? What are other people doing to get a scope sample port on an antenna to make power calculations? I'm Ting off between the xmitter and tuner to feed the scope to look for flat topping and power calculations as this point should be 50ohms but suspect this is not normal as the xmitter output is fully feeding the scope trhough a x10 probe. |
