You might try one of the active noise cancellers that hook up between the
antenna and your radio.

The noise floor is just above moderate, usually S2 to S3, but gets
injuriously high at times, can't do much about that, although i've
been thinking of trying a grounded loop in the same inclined plane.
Just need to get myself to do it... One of these days, I keep telling
myself.
