end of the band as being the low part of the band?

When talking about the swr and low end of the band, that is the lower
frequency part of the band. In your example it would be the frequencies
near 14.000. Frequencies near 14.350 would be the upper or high end of the
band.

It can be confusing as when you hear 'top band' referred to that is usually
the 160 meter ham band. Guess that it got that way because the 160 meter is
the highest ham band in meters even though it is the lowest in frequency.
