I find it sad that amateur radio operators feel the need to loose respect
for each other just because these newsgroups are *mainly* accessed from the
internet.

Mention the "internet" aspect of these forums and suddenly people feel it's
ok to bash, curse, and make all out war with each other.

I should remind all that these newsgroups are also fed in and out of packet
radio BBS stations and read and replied to over RF in nearly all countries
utilizing packet BBS's.

Your name calling, cursing and war-ing all go out over the air ways and do
nothing to foster and promote the art of amateur radio.

The 'art' of amateur radio?

A bunch of fat, sweaty, socially-maladjusted losers, sitting by
themselves in their shacks for hours on end, grousing about how this
newfangled interwebnet will never be as useful as the radio they built
back in '63 and masturbating furtively over memories of Field Days past?

That's the reality of amateur radio today. As long as there are people
like you who continue seeking to use yesterday's technology to solve
yesterday's problems, I'll expect more whining along the lines of the above.

Let me spell it out for you: USENET - much like the rest of the Internet
- was never intended for transport over amateur radio frequencies. That
you (and others) do this is one thing, but ****ing and moaning about the
content of a medium not covered by FCC or international regulations is,
frankly, idiotic on your behalf. Don't like it? Send your own damn
traffic out over the airwaves. But don't expect the rest of us to
kowtow to your demands.

People wonder why amateur radio is dying. You, my good man, exemplify
one reason for that *exceptionally* well.

And, for the benefit of the masses who read USENET via their Icoms,
Yaesus, or Kenwoods: **** **** **** **** DICK BALLS ASS TITS BONER.

73s,

- J.
