Yes, you can use 5 ohm tv coax but you will be better off using 50 ohm rg 8 or rg 58 cable as the output circuit of your radio is optimized for the 50 ohm cable. There is aloss of power in the mismatched cable. Not much but it is there. If you must use 75 ohm cable then investigate using a matching section of 50 ohm cable. Dave WD9BDZ |

Your First problem is that you went to a CB group to ask that kind of
question. What were you thinking? You will have to match the antenna to bring the feed down to 50 ohms. With a properly matched antenna you should get the full 4 watt legal limit on 11 meters. Note too the dipole will need to be slightly shorter to use on 10m than on
