This newsgroup is very slow.
I remember fondly when Chip was here taking a beating
here for discussing his Fractal Antenna.
At least there was some enthusiasm shown.

Don't forget Szczepan Bialek with his "a dipole is a monopole" discussions
and his obsession for theories over 100 years old...

LOL. Yep, he did generate some traffic.

About his "fractvert" I remember thousands of posts telling why he couldn't
simply list the three EZNEC segments that fully describe it.

On the other hand, we should be careful what we ask for :)

Well Mike, I certainly don't hang around people whose idea of a good time is to pull the feathers off a live eagle.

That's OK, it's nice to hear from him.
Hello Chip,
Where are you at as far as advantages of the fractal.
Any advance on keeping gain up as the antenna shrinks?
As I recall you could shrink the antenna and keep the input
impedance near 50 ohms resistive.
Wait, maybe you should list the advantages as you see them
and not hang around to respond to the naysayers.

There's been worse. I was going to say at least I recognize the poster
being replied to from 2013, he's still active, and since he just replied,
he must be reading this newsgroup too still.

Most of the time when someone replies to an old post, the original poster
was never here for much more than that single post.

Indeed.

Success has its compromises--like not having the time to respond to defamatory statements inveighed thru this 'news'group. You guys need to grow up and accept the fact that fractal antennas work as stated (by me) and are here to stay. This despite the bitterness of (some) bashing hams-- who (curiously!)died early; some of you call that the 'fractal curse'---- and others with nothing but time on their hands. I have a very good memory gentlemen; not all of you were so profoundly unkind, and I thank those few for their reasonable queries and responses. The rest of you got your own instant karma. IMO.

I am doing very FB. And enjoying myself immensely, but with a jam packed schedule. With no time for those who sit around trying to bash the already proven. Yawn.

Flower children grown thorns.

Jealous? Tuff:-)!

I'm not very good at remembering people in newsgroups, there is just a
printed name and some talk which is not enough to form much of an image
in my mind. I think I recall jim as being a real piece of work, but I'm
not certain I have the right guy. I want to say the person I recall
actually tried tracking down my history and claimed I wasn't a degreed
engineer. lol

People like that aren't even worth the response. I find it interesting
that so far he has only commented on the fact that you don't return to
the group very often. Nothing of value to say at all.

I don't think I've seen any of your fractal antenna work. I would be
interested. Is there a link?

Well Rick,

Loss of memory is a common attribute of aging. I can't help you on that.

I can say that Jim's complaint of time--BTW call for Jim Pennino is WB6DKH--is also a common issue with aging.

What brought me back, Rick, was the ---admission of cruelty-- by one of your pals here on the 'news' group. And many of you looked back with nostalgic tears of 'beating'.

I just thought y'all like to know that I am so glad that I have been able to age so well, and watch those who dispense with cruelty age so poorly.

Not sure where you fall there Rick, so let's leave it at that. I wouldn't want the display of facts to be confused with cruelty.

As for me, I have no complaints on 'time', such as Jim points out. Time has been very good to me, for those who help themselves, and then help others.

So, to use the word of the hour, 'beat' that, OM.

Regards. Busy writing a patent and you guys have nothing to say, it would seem.

Why don't you get on line and show us all the lawsuits . Believe me, I can and could easily afford the process. But resolution, to my satisfaction, has not, to date, required that burden on defendants. You guys would recognize the callsigns of two of my lawyers.

You can find me lots of places, but usually working in the lab with customers, or hanging with my family or friends. Not here, obviously. I have someplace to go and things to do, and people to see.

Point totally and utterly missed; the older the post the less likely the
original poster is still around and this is particularly true for very
low volume groups like this one.

Responding to very old posts seems to be a trait of clueless goggle groups
users as real news readers will expire old posts so they aren't seen.

If I'm clueless, Jim, then the whole world is in one sorry shape.

What you really mean is that most of those unsavory posters are dead.

Just wanted you to know, I am not.I am 62 and called you other old guys out on your transgressions.

And as my experiences are now of interest to various historians, I didnt want them to ask the question: hmmmm...'why didnt he defend himself against these cruel hams'?

The archival record reveals these select hams either gave up or died early.

I did neither.

And am flourishing.

I wish I could feel more empathy for you guys in your awkward and delusional sense of superiority, but it, frankly, is pathetic.

So now everyone knows. Now, and forever:-)

Nest time, lead with friendly, rather than lead with (falsely based) derision.

Good luck!

Point totally and utterly missed; the older the post the less likely the
original poster is still around and this is particularly true for very
low volume groups like this one.

Responding to very old posts seems to be a trait of clueless goggle groups
users as real news readers will expire old posts so they aren't seen.

But...some oldsters are challenged in that regard. Its important that future readers understand the demographic.

Reality is that google groups posters tend to respond to long dead posts.

Why you are trying to start an arguement over this simple fact is irrelevant

Of course the most interesting thing, Jim Pennino,WB6DKH, is that not only has the course of 30 years of fractal antennas revealed an innovation which caught on--big-- but a textbook case of CYBERBULLYING by so many of your cohorts, right here on this 'news' group. But clearly, and despite voluminous efforts by your cohorts, I refused and refuse to be a victim. Indeed, unbeknownst to you. and others Jim, kids in GRADE SCHOOL are taught nowadays to BUILD FRACTAL ANTENNAS as part of their innovation/math curriculum . Why, the NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION even FUNDED THOSE EFFORTS.

So, while you sit in your LA Z Boy and contemplate derision as a substitute for objective skepticism, the world has turned, and changed, leaving your view of reality limited to as far as you can spit. And knowing that lots of non-hams, now and in the future , will find and absorb these precious words, it is important, to the little kids and the big dreamers, that they appreciate that CYBERBULLYING is unacceptable, and one should NEVER ALLOW others to make you a victim.

Sorry, my friend, I am not a victim, and will not ne victimized, or demonized, and so on.

So, my friend, nice try labelling me a 'stalker'. Nope. Just wanted all our future readers to have a bead on you and your cohorts.

Have a pleasant day, and as they say in the world of metamucil,'this too shall pass'.

No,

This thread is about: "Where's Chip When you Need Him?". Obviously, I am 'needed' Answer: I am HERE. But I will not tolerate any abuse, and will call those who do so, on just that point.

If you want to discuss fractal antennas, then start a new thread and have fun. I see no reason to spend time on that topic on any newsgroup, as the audience is so closed and there is no way to project images on the newsgroup page. Basically, I don;t care.

I am not here to entertain you.

May I suggest you just close the thread and I will no longer feel that I am being requested for a "beating".

Apologies still in order. To me.

No. Ignoring such comments in the age of eternal archiving doesn't work. Its CYBERBULLYING. I am a very sane person with resources behind me. I am in a position to stop it.

And that starts with calling some of you folks on that point. If you find that distasteful, then ask why you wanted me back in the first place.

anyone should "beat" you or taking pleasure in anyone else "beating"

No,

I didn't misunderstand anything. You guys wanted someone to abuse, and then when someone volunteered a candidate, you started the abuse in absentia.

Now that I am here. well, good luck! You guys wanted me back.

Perhaps your mother taught you that one; I would bet so.

Why don't you dig out my medical record to show your accusation has a basis? ANSWER: Nah. Not there.

SOme of you guys are just old men, IMO, who are reverting to your (unhappy?) childhood and trying to bring other people--making constructive contributions to society- down.

You just alarmed that you are being called on it.

As for me, I have no complaints on 'time', such as Jim points out.

No, I meant exactly what I said.

I am confident that you mean what you say. Its your caibration to reality on this matter that is lacking, IMO.

But...some oldsters are challenged in that regard. Its important that future readers understand the demographic.

How old are you, Jim?

Never mind. My data base easily dug you out, along with the plane and all kinds of other info. Interesting.

So you are an emotionally immature stalker who thinks they become
empowered by doing web searches looking for personal information on
others; hardly surprising.

Of course the most interesting thing, Jim Pennino,WB6DKH,

The interesting thing is that this child thinks he needs bloviate
ad nauseam simply because it was pointed out to him that responding to
old USENET posts is not a good idea.

It takes two to tango.

And apparently sometimes three.
