A 44 ft dipole fed with ladder-line will do the job. The ARRL Antenna
Book tells us the mechanical details. Aluminum tubing available from

I've seen'em use slinkies over pvc pipe on field day. Rotatable, portable,
decent operation. And it can walk down stairs.

Limited Space HF 40 Meters Antenna

For The RV And Apartment Dweller.
On a budget, Mobile in an RV, or live in a space-restricted environment?

Here's a great solution: HF Horizontal Polarized Di-pole Antenna
that will take those beams strait on.
With the station operating with gain and power, typically beam
antennas transmitting in the horizontal polarization.
By combining a pair "two" of our single band HF Mobile Stick
Antennas with tunable-tip's, you can have an ideal, single element,
horizontal dipole.
You are then transmitting and receiving in horizontally with
polarization.
Then by adding an inexpensive TV Type Rotor, you in effect have
Simple Rotatable Beam Antenna.
This antenna opens the world of HF communications for the
apartment dweller, RV HAM, Field-day Operating, and a variety of other
uses and applications.
o Features: The Antennas Features (2)HF-Stick Antennas heavy
Duty Copper Wire wound On 3/8" Fiberglass with Chrome Plated Brass
fittings and 17-7 Stainless whip..
o Hardened Aircraft Aluminum Mount
