what justify so high price... nothing

Hi,

Compare these prices for the Cuschcraft MA5B :
http://www.durhamradio.com/cushcraft-ma5b.htm $599

http://www.chq-inc.com/asp/details.a...=MA5B&man=cush, less than $400

The first deny any eplanations, so someone could help me to understand why
Keith sold this antenna at such a price...

Thanks in advance.

Because someone was willing to purchase it at that price?

Thanks in advance.

I suspect a problem of currency, but the dealer refuses to explain and keep
a deep fog around its advertisings.
Not smart. I prefer to go away, for example to CHQ...

Any info about this price difference is welcome to complete the information
published on my website

Thanks in advance.

Same reason prices are different at different places on almost
everything. WHATEVER THE MARKET WILL BEAR!

Why is plain salt $1.69 at Kroger and .98 at WalMart?

Why is soda at retail pricing normally 21 cents for 12 ounces at a
store or $2.24 per gallon retail if you look at it that way. But at a
restaurant (who buys it wholesale also, just as the store does) why do
they sell it for over $17.00 per gallon? Any price over 99 cents,
which represents 1000% markup is extortion on soda products!

The first dealer is based in Canada and the second is in the USA

$599 Canadian = $446 US which isn't too far away from the $380 price that
CHQ are selling at considering (I believe) a generally higher cost of living
in Canada.

My experience with the IC-2100H:

Had to replace a failing (25 year old) packet link radio.
Checked eBay, they were selling for $150 - $180 "New In Box".
Checked HRO, AES, etc. on the web.
Prices were $149 - $169 plus shipping.
Drove to Portland HRO, asked about price.
Store owner checked computer, looked at the big
pile of 2100Hs on the shelf, picked up a box, put it
on the counter and said "How about $135?".

Of course I bought some other stuff as well ;-)
