Anybody who has doubts that Tomlinson is a mentally ill obsessive stalker
need only review what is quoted below.

(In his juggernaut of emotionally-disturbed abuse, he is reckless as
to the truth of what he asserts, because there are a few there which were
not me, in
particular Derek, which was G3VKI)

Unfortunately, we have had to deal with his abuse for many years. He's
been at this since 1997, and possibly earlier.

FUs set to uk.ra only.

Agreed Steve, but it would be better for all concerned if you didn't
quote his drivel in full for those who have the meths-slurping old ****
killfiled. By doing that, you're only helping him expose his malicious
drivel to those that don't wish to see it, as well as feeding his need
for attention.

I've omitted rr.aa from the followups as a courtesy to the posters

You've hit the nail on the head there. Evans believes himself to be
intellectually superior to his peers (oink, flap), and yet when
challenged on technical subjects, frequently falls silent.

He's also sociopathic, misogynistic, resentful of authority and
homophobic. These are the hallmarks of a personality with a smörgåsbord
of major complexes, which he compensates for by lashing out left, right
and centre. He adds to this by trying to cause trouble for those to
whom he takes a dislike - this ultimately landed him in court.

http://tinyurl.com/cqdfxlw

All in all, really not a very nice person at all.

I accept he is very probably mentally ill and needs to seek help from a
mental health professional, but his behaviour makes it very hard to
empathise with him. Instead, all one can do is pity him as the pathetic
shell of a human being he appears to be.

FUs to uk.ra in consideration of the people in rr.aa who have indicated
they don't wish to see fallout from uk.ra.

On 10/4/2015 1:20 PM, Stephen Thomas Cole wrote:
"gareth" wrote:
Q. What is Ham Radio?

A. Ham Radio is a technical pursuit for those who
are interested in the science of radio wave
propagation and who are also interested in the
way that their radios function. It has a long-standing
tradition of providing a source of engineers who
are born naturals.

Ham Radio awakens in its aficionados a whole-life
fascination with all things technical and gives
an all-abiding curiosity to improve one's scientific
knowledge. It's a great swimming pool, please dive in!

This excitement causes a wish to share the experience
with ones fellow man, and shows itself in the
gentlemanly traditions of Ham Radio.

Radio Hams are in a unique privileged position in that
they can construct and operate their own equipment! No-one
else has this privilege. Users, such as broadcasters,
the plodderies and armed farces, CBers and mobile phone
users have to purchase ready-made gear. Manufacturers
are not licensed to operate their gear. Radio Hams
are qualified to design, build and then
operate their own pieces of equipment. They do this
with gusto, and also repair and modify their own
equipment. This is a privilege well worth the effort
to gain, and one to be jealously guarded.

The excitement that drives a Radio Ham starts with
relatively simple technologies at first, perhaps making
his own Wimshurst machine and primary cells. Small pieces
of test equipment follow, possibly multimeters and signal
generators. Then comes receivers and transmitters. It is with
the latter that communication with like-minded technically
motivated people takes off. The scope for technical
development grows with the years and now encompasses DSP
and DDS. There is also a great deal
of excitement in the areas of computer programming to
be learnt and applied.

The technical excitement motivates Radio Hams to compete
with each other to determine who has designed and manufactured
the best-quality station. This competitiveness is found in DXing,
competitions and fox-hunts.

-----ooooo----

However, beware! A Ham Radio licence is such a
desirable thing to have that there are large
numbers of people who wish to be thought of
as Radio Hams when, in fact, they are nothing
of the kind! Usually such people are a
variation of the CB Radio hobbyist; they buy their
radios off the shelf and send them back to be
repaired; they are not interested in technical discussion
and sneer at those who are; they have no idea how
their radios work inside and have no wish to find out;
they are free with rather silly personal insults.

-----ooooo-----

One infallible way to disambiguate the CB Radio Hobbyist
from the _REAL_ Radio Ham is to solicit their view of the
difference between CB Radio and Ham Radio. A Radio Ham will
perceive Ham Radio to be a technical pursuit and will
perceive CB Radio to be a social communications facility
no different in essence to a land-line telephone or a
GSM mobile in the hands of a 6-year-old. Thus a Radio Ham
could also use a CB set safe in the knowledge that
such use says no more about him than having a land-line
telephone, whilst continuing to regard Ham Radio as a separate
technical pursuit.

A CB Radio hobbyist, on the other hand, sees no difference between
Ham Radio and CB Radio. To him, they are
sisters-under-the-skin. Wrongly, the CB Radio Hobbyist then
tries to classify himself as the equal of the Radio
Ham when, in fact, he is nothing of the kind.

Ham Radio is not CB Radio and has no common ground with it!
Ham Radio is _THE_ technical pursuit for gentlemen; CB Radio
is the name for the operating hobby for those who buy their
rigs and equipment off the shelf.

-----ooooo-----

If you are the sort of person who is motivated by
a technical interest in how things work; if you took apart
malfunctioning clocks, toasters and the like and put them
right despite never having seen them working, then
a Ham Radio licence is your traditional route! There has
never been a shortage of such people, and those who gravitate
towards such an interest have always been welcomed into
our shacks and their interests fostered. There is not today,
nor has there ever been, a need to go out and encourage
and press children, children who have never expressed an
interest in Ham Radio, to come into our shacks. Such an
activity should cause eyebrows to be raised - what
normal well-adjusted adults seek the social acquaintance
of children?!

-----ooooo-----

Please remember that this FAQ is a _POSITIVE EXHORTATION_
to you to exert yourselves to join our fraternity!

Definitely a "5 Bottle" on the "Meths Scale", this post. Totally unhinged,
and indicative of the sender being covered in vomit and sitting in a chair
drenched in ****.

Stephen,

I can't figure out why someone would want to express their opinion like
this about CBers and Ham radio operators. The generalizations expressed
above and miscellaneous ramblings just seem bizarre to me.

I have known CBers (there are so few now) and know many hams like myself.
There is good and bad on both sides just like with anything else.

It kind of thinking reminds me of a spokesman for one religion tearing
down some other religion. It just makes no sense. Baptists are better
than Catholics, or maybe the other way around. That kind of thinking is
just not where I would want to be.

Maybe it just comes down to wanting to believe that there is something
about oneself that makes yourself better than others. It could be the
colour of your skin, religion, income level, or political beliefs. I
guess there will always be those who need to find a reason to believe
themselves better human beings than their neighbours.

I think that's pretty much it. Gareth is deeply insecure, and with good
cause! He's sabotaged his own life, there's a long, long history of
conflict, fallings out, employment terminations, arrests, and so on, all
due to his "personality", if you can call his collection of mental
illnesses a "personality". He's at the absolute bottom of the social ladder
and he's desperate to convince himself otherwise.

Once again, Brian, Old Chum, it is from your own keyboard that insulting and
false
posts originate, in particular your mantra about underachievers, for which
there
is no supporting evidence.

Why do you behave like that?

What relevance is there to the topics for which these NGs exist?

Shame on you.

Don't forget that, like Evans, Jim enjoys seeing a row in full flood and
has a history of trying to get people into trouble by sending Emails to
organisations. Of course, like Evans he failed.

It would seem such traits are common in those who underachieve, it is
probably linked to wanting revenge on someone for their failure due to a
lack of personal responsibility.

I shall continue to reply defensively in all the NGs that you yourself
spammed when setting out on your unilateral vendetta of character
assassination.

If you object to the continuing use of the multiple NGs that you, and you
alone, originated, then
there is a message therein for you. I wonder if you can see what it is?

I do not seek attention, but the obsessive way in which you shout out
insults in the manner
of a 5-year-old skulking behind the playground fence suggests that you are
desperate for such.

Adding more groups to the Newsgroups line: in the hope that people
following up won't notice is a classic troll tactic, designed to
multiply the annoyance factor. Evans uses it frequently in his desperate
quest for attention, so anyone following up to him should watch the
crossposting.

He's done it several times in this thread alone in responses to me. I
can't see his replies as he's killfiled, but can see from the message
headers that he has added in crossposts. QED.

As I said earlier, he's really not a very nice person at all. In fact,
he's a sad, vindictive, vicious, malicious, mendacious old ****. Just
as well I'm now semi-retired and living in sunnier climes or he'd be
firing off green ink poison pen emails to my employers. Again.

I sit here and laugh at the pathetic old fool.
