The Hy-Gain 18HT Hy-Tower is best all around non compromise vertical.
Hy-Gain has resumed mfg. in MS and several have phased 4 of them via
Comtek's ACB-80.
(http://www.comteksystems.com) Covers 10-15-20-40-80 meters.
New list is $749. with slightly less from dealers. A 160 kit is
optional.
MFJ-1792 is a 40 & 80 vertical; full 1/4w on 40 with a Teflon loading
coil and spokes at the top for 80. About $140. So one extreme to the
other on price if bought new.
Both need radials, as do all 1/4w series fed verticals, for best low
angle takeoff performance.

Of the factory made verticals for 40 and 80 ( I know none are great) which is
best/ Hustler, cushcraft, hy gain, mfj, gap, butternut? If it put a signal out
on 160 that would be a bonus. Can't run sloper here so need one of these ground
mounted wtith radials. Tks.
