/////////////////////////////////////////// Is this air cap useful for a mag loop Posted: 25 May 2017 11:21 PM PDT https://forums.qrz.com/index.php?thr...g-loop.567898/ Found it in a junk store. No ratings info. No way to test it, without spending $80 on a tester that has a decent range. Had hoped to find a dual stator, but they didnt have it. This cost me $8. It has a nice knob. Any ideas what range might be? Doubt it is good for more than 5 - 10w QRP, right? I figured it could at least act as a way to tune a listening loop? I can fit a business card between the blades, when they are meshed together. View attachment 373376 .... Working fine but...looking at the pole base with analyzer I get no more than 30 ohms "R"...X is zero or nearly so. Therefore Im assuming the 1.5 or 1.6 I get...
