This applies under English law only so applies only to England (and probably Wales) and not to the whole of 'Brit'; Scotland and NI have their own legal systems. Scotland abolished all feu duty and feudal tenure (Scottish equivalent of fee). NI used to have a similar system called 'Udal' but that has been abolished. Andy |
