If so, why would anyone wire up a jack this way? A mono plug would short the signal to ground. Ken KC2JDY That's the way the Mic input for PC Sound Adapters is wired. The microphone for PC's has a STEREO plug with the signal on the RING only. I found out the hard way that a microphone with a MONO plug will short out the MIC input. TenTec probably wired it that way so that a PC microphone would work. Ken KO6NO |
