Jeff -
I use a counterpoise mount with the Outbacker, BUT the bandwidth on 75 and 80 meters i very narrow ( 50 KHz). No stringer is used for 160 meters and as I remember it was even tighter .. pick your favorite 160 frequency and adjustment the top whip for lowest SWR. Greg w9gb "Jeff L" wrote in message ... Thanks for your reply, Greg. I believe Terlin used to make custom antennas, and I think this is one of 'em. It's an older model. It has taps for 17m, 20m, 40m, and 80m (2 taps). I just installed it in my attic, and it loads fine on 20m, 40m and 80m, but no-go on 160m (I may need more ground radials. Jeff |
