Has anyone used these mobile antennas in the dipole mode? How about a
design for a multiband array on a small rotor?

Hamstick dipoles work pretty well for 20m-10m. Not well for 40m
and terrible for 75m (unless the application is a special one
like the portable NVIS application in the latest QST).

Hi All:

Been there, done that. Mine was about 65KHz wide and about 10 to 15db down
from the full size 80m dipole I put up to replace it. I had both up at the
same time and they were both at about the same height so it was a good
comparison. That said the hamstick dipole worked and I did make contacts on
it.

Russell,

What are you comparing this to or using it for?

Are you just having fun experimenting or do you have a planned use for
this antenna?
