If you decide on an MP-1 by SuperAntennas, I have one for sale for
$100, shipped to any US address (no 80m add-on coil). I sold my
FT-817, and the MP-1 has never been set up outdoors. It has in fact
only been out of the box a couple of times. You can contact me direct
at my email address (omit the **'s).
