Default unequal lenght issue

I just started to wonder something

always thought it was 'ok' to have a center fed dipole equal length arms
if that is your goal

many have mentioned that using my sgc237 it's better to have the rf
hot shorter then the rf gnd/counterpoise

got confused here why is that better, i mean understand many have
said it prevents the rf gnd from radiating the coax shield (bad)

but what is the diff thing i am mising?

tnx
