Yes! Otherwise you will get an ugly mess of photons all over the floor. I don't even unplug mine during thunderstorms. Course the one lighting hit (I get about 3 a year) blew off all the coax seal and I did end up with water running out of my 2-meter rig onto the top of the desk...and floor.
