They are selling for less than 550. at eham.net/classified and
www.swap.qth.com. 700 is close to new selling price 10-12 years ago.

I paid $350 incl shipping for my used IC-735 last year, and that included
the PS-55 power supply and cable. It's a 5 minute (clip one diode) job to
open the transmit capabilities, and all that time is spent taking apart and
reassembling. So that mod adds no $ value to the transceiver, in my opinion.

I have two IC-735S, bought both on eBay, paid under $375.00 for each of
them. One of them included the Icom power supply. Both in excellent shape,
work perfectly.

Shop around eBay.

Yea, as other note, 7 bills is a bit high...It would have to be super
pristine, and very low miles to consider paying that much. I mean
totally mint. Not a scratch on it....It is a good radio, but the
average
going rate these days is 300-500 ?? bucks...And 500 would be on
the higher end...For $700, I could get a fresher 746, etc....I've seen
used 706mk2g's going for less than that...Also, be aware that some
parts may now be unavailable for the 735. I have a nice IC-730
collecting dust cuz I can't find the part I need to fix it...The 735 is
a
later version of the 730...Icom considers those radios ancient history
when it comes to parts...Heck, they don't even sell the finals for
706's
any more, as the final transister is no longer made..You have to buy
the
whole PA board for 400+ bucks....With the old style transisters...
Needless to say, I baby the finals in my 706mk2g....MK
