Is there a good basic web tutorial I can print out or a book
available
for one of the free antenna modeling programs? Preferably one that
matches a still-available version of the software.

It depends on what characteristics of antennas you wish to examine by
modelling techniques.

Efficiency, bandwidth, tuner component values, effect of ground
electrodes, feedpoint impedances, feedline loss, radiation resistance,
etc. Or just radiation patterns and take-off angles which most people
already know about for simple antennas.
