You're right, mine was a Hudson with a loop DF and Hallicrafters SX-27
and
SX-28 receivers. There had to be a somewhat intelligent brain
connecting
the
DF to the steering wheel. Did you drive your car during the time the
NDO
and
RID existed? I was a charter member beginning in 1940. My wife-to-be
disseminated more than 500 invitations to join from her FCC office in
Washington as an assistant to George E. Sterling, then Chief Engineer
of
the
FCC.
