Thanks, ham op, for the info. However, 'Agent' has no 'edit' key, and no 'paste'
option, hence the reason for my question. However, Richard C. kindly told me
that using cont v does the pasting job.

If you are WINDOWS based:

1) Highlight text in original message
2) Edit Key: select COPY option, Click mouse
This puts the desired text on your 'clipboard'
3) Open NEW MESSAGE
4) Put cursor in 'text' block [as opposed to Address or Subject]
5) Edit Key: select PASTE option, Click Mouse.

If you are MAC based you need info from another source

Can someone please tell me how to 'paste' a copy of text into the 'text' portion

Hi Walt,

In fact Agent does have these buttons, you simply haven't customized
your tool bar to display them:

Menu item: Tools, select Options Dialog, then Navigation and Menus
Panel, finally Toolbars. This presentation allows you to customize
all the buttons.

In the composition window (where you write your posts) there are three
paste buttons available.

You are running on version 1.93. According to Forte:
If you are a registered Agent 2.0 user or you bought Agent 1.93 on or
after December 9th, 2003, you don't need to purchase an upgrade. Just
download and install Agent 3.1

There are new features, but you may not appreciate them if you simply
use Agent out-of-the-box.
