Any tricks to adding a 1/4 wave 17 meter stub to the 18HT....???

Do I have to remove the 15 meter stub and replace it with a 17 stub?

I looked at the stub Hygain sell for the conversion and it looks about a
foot + too long for 17 is there a reason for this?
