Default Interesting HF antenna design

Well, I don't care who you are, at least once any normal person is
going to
forget and drive right up to the pump without remembering to first lower or
remove the antenna.

That antenna is a stunted runt compared to mine.
His is 1.5 m tall. Mine is 3.3 m tall in the driving
mode, 4.2 m tall in the parked mode. On mine, the
base of the antenna is on the truck cab at about
64 inches from ground. Even in the shorter driving
mode, my antenna is over 16 ft tall to the tip.
Of course, the antenna is flexible, and the stinger
is *very* flexible, and can take most any whack.
You might forget at the gas station. Once...:/
I don't forget. I use a quick connect, and if I drive
under something, I take it off, and lay it on the roof until
I drive through.
And yes, my antenna would kick his antenna's butt too
I bet. On 80m, it would probably be ugly. I note he uses
the common "gimmick" antenna sales pitches.
If in doubt, always compare the prospective wonder toy
with other fairly useless wonder toys.
And then omit to state the ground radial
conditions, etc, etc... Of course most mobiles
beat lame ground mounted verticals. This is normal.
My mobile beats my full size dipole at 42 ft on paths
over 800 miles or so. Again, fairly normal.
He says that antenna is the most efficient
that can be built for the size. I don't believe that by just
looking at it. He wants money to show the plans.
Hummmmm...... :/ Sorry. No sale.
Looks like a gimmick stick designed to
lure cashflow from the gullable. .

Got a link to a picture of yours? I'd like to see it.

I was running a Master Mobile antenna, about 8 feet long, and the base
at 9 feet off the ground for a while. You have to know your routes pretty
well to do that! G
