Its a powerful principle of programming, to make modells independent and
encapsulated. They call that 'objects'.

Write a program to calculate the complement of the mandelbrot set.

???
Strange reply. There are a lot of programms of that type.

There exactly zero programs of that type, since it is believed that
the points not in the set cannot be specified by any algorithmic
procedure, despite the fact that the points in the mandelbrot are
well-defined by a very simple procedure.

I am programming database-applications for small businesses.

OK, but you aren't discussing databases. You are discussing how
to do science based on what you know about programming databases.

[...]
Try writing a program to calculate _ANY_ non-recusively enumerable
set.

Most people regard software as set of instructions -what it is- but mainly
programming means, contruction of modells about reality, since

Programming means implementing a procedure to perform calculations.
No computer program can tell you how long it will take for a particular
nucleus to decay.

business-software has allways connecting -points to the real world.

Benoit Mandlebrot has been a consultant for wall street firms, so
at least in some way, he has used fractals for a real world purpose.
There are numerous other examples as well.

Thats one reason, why I like to talk about modells more than about the
instructions themselfs. Theese are treated as technical problems to be
solved later.

Here's a model that is implemented in real life: http://www.fractenna.com

That reality is questionable.
