Default Ionoshpere book FYI

Browsing at the Tulsa library I found "Radio Amateurs Guide To The
Ionosphere" by Leo F. McNamara, 1994. The author knows his stuff, writes
well and it't a facinating read. Lots of things explained that I couldn't
comprenhend before. His specialty is HF SSL ,single station location, using
the ionosphere which I didn't know was possible. I wonder if anyone has any
stories on SSL from actual experience.
