Will the classic inverted V work on 2.4ghz (802.11b/g WiFi)? Hi Ken, Antennas are classically scalable. I made each leg on the two antennas 30.5mm long. The coax runs straight down from the feed points about 4" then snakes it's way back inside the laptop. The whole shebang is just taped to the back of the laptop. Will this work? Any problems? What about gain? Gain? Hope you are expecting anymore than from a classic inverted V. Problems? The usual like common mode - consult how to build a choked feed. Would you likely notice any problems if you built your inverted V to your size? Probably not. If you did, it is more likely a problem of not enough power/sensitivity, Fresnel issues, or poor sight lines. 73's Richard Clark, KB7QHC |
