Thanks Tom for the information.

What is the polarity at each feed point? Also - if the antenna is a square, you can feed it from the middle of the bottom or the middle of the side: again what is the polarity vs. the feed point? Howard, The polarization of a quad fed at the bottom of a diamond is horizontal. The polarization of a quad fed on the point of the side is vertical. The polarity of the feedpoint changes 14,000,000 times if you excite it on 14MHz for one second no matter where it is fed, but the polarization only changes when you move the feedpoint to a new location. :-) That's a nice feature of a quad. By changing feedpoint loaction you can change polarization. 73 Tom |
