Hi all,

Can anyone tell me where to find a commercial antenna (or design for
homebrew) that is compact and generates a cardioid pattern at 440 MHz?
Please email me at .

Thanks,
George

A Moxon rectangle sound like what you need. The first link is a
description of a 2m Moxon, the second is a calculator that will allow
you to easily determine the dimensions for 440. I built a 2m version
out of copper pipe and got a good match on the first try.
