looking for 2 metre mobile radio

Their VHF/UHF mobiles are known for poor performance, poor reliability and just crappy built quality. I have owned radios from all the major manufactures and Kenwood, along with Icom are some of the best for the dollar. A "Bullet-Proof" mobile for the money ($269 US) is the Kenwood TM-G707A.
