Default A $2400.00 SX28A???

Make that a $4,550 SX-28.

I gave up long ago trying to psychoanalyze eBay bidders.

Sure, it's a loony price. On the other hand, it's a tedious and occasionally
fiendish receiver to restore from the bottom up. Don't ask how many hours I
spent restoring my first and second SX-28s. (Hint: everything's easier the
second time around, and Number Two is definitely the keeper.) I guess there
are plenty of collectors out there who don't have the expertise or patience
to do that work on their own.

I'm not of the school that likes to machine-buff every inch of the chassis.
Clean it up, even use Naval Jelly and/or metal polish to make it
presentable, but sheesh!

And for the record, if you can't find a very nice and easily restorable
SX-28 for a few hundred bucks, you're just not trying!

Regards,

Phil Nelson
