Remember the story about the intrepid lad who gathered scrap glass and melted it down to make his own tubes? I think I saw this in the ARRL's "200 Meters and Down" book, but now I cant find the page. Anyone know where in the book this gem is hidden? I don't know, but Dr. Rudiger Walz from the Antique Radio Society has been making handblown tubes since he was a kid. --scott -- "C'est un Nagra.
