Default Wanted: SX28 main tuning logging dial

I need the logging scale and associated front panel hardware for a
Hallicrafters SX28 restoration project. These parts were missing from
my SX28 'as received'. The main tuning knob has major internal wear -
I'm considering a steel? Al? bush to go onto the shaft and getting the
knob machined to 1/4" or 5/16" ID. Advice from those who've 'been
there, done that' would be appreciated.

It's an SX28U (110/220 V switchable) s/n H159134

Tks,

John Mackesy VK3XAO
