Thanks for the response.
I saw a post on QRZ.com concerning a 5100S and was trying to find some info on it. I seem to remember that there was a direct conncetion to the 5100B for the B&W SSB adapter. This was 34 years ago and my memory might be a bit fuzzy. If the 5100B did not come with a direct plug in for the SSB adapter It might have been a mod that was put in before I got the pair. I do not remember doing any wiring to couple the ssb adapter. Your theory sounds reasonable. 73 George K3UD On 2007-03-07 14:52:03 -0600, K3HVG said: George, I may have answered the same question on another venue (post from you?) but I believe the 5100S was a late 5100, factory wired to accept the 51SB sideband adaptor. That's my recollection. George wrote: Has anyone here ever seen a B&W 5100S transmitter? I owned a 5100B with the B&W SSB adapter back in the early 70s but never came across a 5100S. I am thinking that it might have been a prototype of the later B&W 6100 transmitter. Anyone have any info? Thanks, George - K3UD |
