Default national hro fm-83-50 adaptor, also searching for EF scale wtb

i have one now for my hro 60, and need to replace some resistors. i
will do the one electro cap at same time. naturally, i don't have the
exact cap value (1 mfd, c-10, cathode filter for the 6h6). i have a
10mfd; can i subsitute? i know for power filter caps people often do
put in a higher value w/some benefit from it.... bama hro 60 manual
accessories section has the schemo.

also -- once i have this thing repaired, about where on the dial could
i hear any nbfm? 29-ish mhz? and would a certain EST time or other
be better? have coils a-f, but not the e/f scale if anyone has and
would part with....

obliged....

Monitor 29.6 MHz. I believe that is the national simplex FM freq. on 10
meters.
Check the ARRL repeater directory for active ten meter repeaters. Activity
depends
on band conditions...
