ALL the manuals have been in the public domain for at least 20 years and freely available. How can someone buy copyright on something that is public domain? Have you seen the prices he is charging? Exactly where do you get that from? The manuals are still in copyright and due to the efforts of the Disney Corporation, probably will be for another 100 years. The former owner of the copyrights did not stop people from selling photocopies, or distributing images but that does not affect copyrights. In fact, if the owner was not aware of the infringment, they can still sue. All it means is that the new owner can not prosecute people who HAD permission in the past. By US law, if they did not have written permission, they can be prosecuted or sued for copyright infringment. Since the new owner obviously was never informed of prior infringment, he has four years to sue. Check with a lawyer how specializes in copyright infringment cases, I am not a lawyer of any kind.
