Looks like it is the RF deck from a receiver...perhaps the Mohawk.

I have an RME RF pre-amp that uses 3 tuned RF stages to boost the signal
and this thing looks like it might serve the same purpose. All I see is
tuned circuits and tubes. It should be interesting to know what it
really is.

Should be a part number rubber stamped somewhere on the assembly. If
so, check it to an assembly manual for the Mohawk.

The Mohawk was an amateur band only receiver wasn't it?

Nice images. I guess the box is still original Heath fabrication, as it
was shipped 40-50 years ago? I have uploaded some new Heathkit images
last week, in no small part thanks to N4TRB! Both RX-1 and TX-1
side-by-side can be found he
