I think you'll find that the noise is in the compound dial mechanism, not in the
PTO, itself. I concur, in part, with the other response.. I've too have heard/felt
the noise in countless 32S- and KWM-2 dials. I do not recall the issue in any 75S-,
however. What you can try is to re-tension the dial drive eccentric. The front
panel shaft coupling is slightly oval and can loosened and then rotated so that
precise tensioning can be made. However, if the noise "problem" is simply that
and the dial "feels" OK (not too much drag and the dial moves positively), leave
well enough alone. Just a thought.....
