Cool, they made some really nice quality equipment. I have a model 111
Frequency Modulator for visual alignment. Also have a 1940 catalog with
price list. If you would like any pics of the 111 or scans of the catalog
let me know.

Since we were sent home from work because of the
blizzard and have been snowed in all afternoon, I decided
to use the time to work on a web page I'd been thinking
about.
It's going to be all about Clough-Brengle equipment,
both test gear and transmitters.
It's far from being finished, but there's enough there
to be looked at. Check it out here,

There's more coming soon.

OK, I dug out my two pieces for model numbers. My frequency modulator or sweep
oscillator is a Model 81-A. It takes the output from a conventioanl RF
generator and heterodynes it into a swept output at an offset.

My RF generator is a Model 01, as far as I can read the messy stamping on the
nameplate. It has a rotary turrent band selection, and a really sweet dual
dial readout from 0-300, which must be translated by a calibratin chart built
onto the top of the unit. Covers 50KC to 30MC in 6 bands. Very compact case,
not heavy.

The 01 is AC/DC so I haven't tried to use it, but the 81-A sweeper has a power
trans so I really should try it out -- I do like to align IFs by scope
sweeping.

These units are pretty clean inside and out so would take great photos. Let me
know if you want some shots. 73, Mike K.
