Anyone know of a source for the S meter and freq dial lenses. Mine have
faded to near clear.

Tnx,

W4OP Dale

I'd just go to your local plastics distributor and get some 1/16" tinted
lexan - works for my projects :-)

Available, nice replacements for the "Drake" (Blue Dial Filters) used in the
TR4's and the 4-Line Twins. They are $3.00 per set, or 4 sets for $10.00.

Each set consists of one (1) dial filter and one (1) meter filter with
precut mounting holes in the proper location.

Yeah Red works MUCH better, Red is at the opposite side of the light
spectrum and an easy focus/read when the eyes iris is open in a dark room
with 20-20

Thanks to all who replied. Donnie still makes the filters- and I have 4

sets on the way.

Great group,

GM Dale

There's a nail polish, made by "Artmagic" USA, Brooklyn NY. Called 163
Peacock blue, it's a perfect match. Dip your bulbs in it, let it set and you
don't need the lenses.

Hi Dale...
Yes, there are lots of homebrew remedies. One that works for me is blue LED
in #47 bayonet fixtures.
If you want the "real deal" (what Drake used)
It is Roscolene 853.
I got a big sheet of it in January of 02 from Barbizon Light in Woburn, Ma.
http://shop.barbizon.com/

Got one sheet of it in a box..good to go forever!!
