The old Gonset IV has surprised a few folks on 50.400.....the audio is quite nice; much "richer" than the other SS rigs I've used (DX70TH & FT857) on AM. I was hoping for some AM contacts during FD, but heard no one during the short time I was able to operate, and no replies to my CQs. I am on with a Gonset 6M Sidewinder+ PS/speaker.
