Default How to fix a wide trace (noise) on Tek 465 and 475 scopes

HOW TO FIX a wide trace (noise) on Tek 465 and 475 scopes:

----------------------------------------------------------

I have posted a detailed procedure (another free freebie) for
fixing a wide or noisy/fuzzy trace on Tektronix 465 and 475
(most or all Tek 400-series) oscilloscopes [i.e. cleaning the
Volts/Div Attenuator (and Bandwidth Limiter and Trigger View)
switch contacts], at:

It may work wonders for your scope. And you can probably do it
yourself, even if you've never opened a scope, before.

It will also usually help repair cases where changing the
volts/div switch causes trace distortion, or intermittently
gives the wrong vertical amplitude (v/div gain error/problem).

Cheers,
