Default Need Murata CFJ455K12 filter

Hello,

I don't know if a Kenwood TS-830S qualifies as a boatanchor but it
probably does. I need a at Murata CFJ455 K12 or CFJ455 K5 ceramic
filter to resurrect one. These are the small ceramic 455khz filters
you would pull out of a transceiver to upgrade filters such as with
Inrad filters etc.

Thanks,

Rick KC0HH

Digi-Key has a wide assortment of various 455 KC ceramics in various
widths and slopes, from Toko. They are a couple bucks each for the
higher end ones, so you can get a bunch of differnet kinds to try.

They do have a pretty good selection, but those SSB bandwidth units are not
available in this country anymore. About 2 years ago, Murata discontinued
their higher end filters.
The one that this fellow needs is what you generally find as the SSB filter
in the Icom and Yaesu receivers. I believe it is an 11-element unit.
Actually, it isn't bad..........my Icom 275A uses this particular filter.
Internet price on this filter, if you can find one, is about 20 dollars, but
that is a BIG but.
