You don't really have to 'know' code to pass that. Cobra has the 150 GTL DX 10m AM/FM rig that looks identical to their 11m rigs right down to displaying 40 "channels." I saw one on ebay already for auction in the ham radio listings. The seller says he bought it thinking it was the state-of-the-art CB mobile and found it was a 10m rig. Their 200 GTL DX 10m rig is just as flashy with all the chrome and bright metal, but has a frequency display. Cobra's design is a throwback to the 70s and it shows on their "new" 10m rigs with the red LED display. I don't expect many current hams to be purchasing any of these rigs anytime soon. Look for renegade CBers to buy up these radios for their "freeband" needs. Ed |
