What's the story on the SBE-36 ???

Someone has told me it was made by Robyn in Japan but sold under the SBE
name.

Also wondering why they used Nixie tubes when some LEDs were available in
the early 70's. I think Signal One CX-7 was the other rig that had nixies
but switched to LEDS.

Just curious as I just got one.

Seems to work as good as a Collins without the $20k price tag. :^)
