Texas Crystals, Crystek, Jan, and others often reworked WWII
military surplus FT-243 crystals to customer specs. They either replaced the original front plate with a new one--with their company named embossed, or they simply used a stick on label to cover the original faceplate marketings. The bakelite housings still have the tell tale military channel numbers embossed on them, however--a dead giveaway regarding their original.. I post my examples on the binaries, and email cc to Bill.
