Bob, Somebody gave you a bad steer. Real Ameco AC-1's have been going on eBay
for $280-350. They are collectors items. If somebody told you it was only worth
$100, and then offered to buy it, they are ripping you, unless your unit is a
wreck, or highly modified.

The $280 - $300 is a fair price - IF the unit was in very good to excellent
condition - worked and was not modified. Modifications - such as adding an
SO-239 - dramatically lower the price.

Yahoo Groups has an active Ameco AC-1 .. with photos of originals - PLUS
KITS for building the "new" clones - with all parts. Join the group and get
educated.
